Continental Legal Counsel (Tax Litigation) in Guarulhos, Brazil

Tax Litigation.
Proactively and strategically manage all legal and administrative processes of a tax matters for all Continental Group companies, through continuous monitoring, with the aim of identifying opportunities to reduce passive contingency and opportunities for credit recovery.
Prepare management reports with updated information on Continental's judicial and administrative processes, which will be used internally to monitor risks and opportunities, as well as by external auditing.
Keep the systems for monitoring/progress of judicial and administrative tax processes (local and global) updated.
Support external audits in demands related to litigation.
Define, together with external experts, the best defense strategy in processes of great relevance to the company in the tax sphere, in order to reduce the company's litigation liabilities.
Support the financial department, controllership, accounting in the quarterly review of risks/provisions related to tax litigation, ensuring accuracy of information.
Support the tax department in dealing with pending issues identified as obstacles to the renewal of certificates (federal, state, municipal taxes) that are related to tax litigation.
Support the Legal Operations Department (Continental Global Legal Department) in updating/reviewing/quarterly reporting the company's main processes.
Monitor federal, state and municipal tax legislation, evaluating the possibility of inclusion of debts in installments and amnesties granted by public authorities with the aim of reducing the company's litigation liabilities.
Monitor jurisprudence and tax legislation to provide guidance to internal clients on the need to reassess procedures and opportunities.
Develop and deliver training on legal and tax topics that are of interest to internal clients.
Coordinate the technical activities of the department's interns, guiding them in order to develop them in complementary experience to the curriculum.
Academic degree in law
Specialization in Tax Law
Fluent English
Office pack
Registration in OAB
Having previous experience in internal tax law at a large company will be considered an advantage
